[00:00] F. DLAMINI: I do my rounds every half hour once the public's cleared out. That night, after the show ended, I was doing the outer perimeter first, like always.

Round about... quarter to ten, maybe a little after, I was near the east wing and I heard voices raised, not shouting exactly, but tense. Coming from around the service corridor, near the Control Room.

Couldn't make out words, walls are thick there. Didn't think much of it at the time, people argue about deadlines all the time in that place.

A bit later - I want to say closer to ten, ten-fifteen - I heard fast footsteps heading out toward the maintenance exit. Didn't see who it was, I was around the other side of the dome by then.

One thing that did strike me odd - I saw Mr. Botha heading down toward that wing earlier than I expected. He normally does his server room shutdown and heads straight out the back by nine-thirty, nine forty-five latest.

That night I saw him still moving around that side of the building well after ten.

I found the Director just after half past ten, when I did my next round and saw the Control Room light still on. That's when I called it in.
